Everyone has those interviews or special occasions where they need to dress 'business casual'. I have decided to put a fashionable twist on this, and call it 'business chic'. As a college student applying for jobs in retail and fashion, I don't want to wear an uptight business suit, I want to show off my personal style while still looking appropriate. I believe that for a job interview or in any professional setting, you shouldn't wear too much jewelry, or an outfit that is too distracting. This outfit is perfect because the blazer adds a small pop of white against the all black look. I actually took these pictures right after I wore this outfit to an interview.

You can never go wrong with the perfect little black dress. I bought this Lush dress from Nordstrom for my high school graduation and I am still obsessed with it! It is sold out in black but it is actually on sale in different colors (here and here). I have also found two similar black dresses as well! (here and here) I love the high neckline and the cinched waist of this dress.

I found this amazing light-weight, black and white patterned blazer during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale so many years ago! It is definitely one of the best purchases I've made! The blazer style is appropriate, but the pattern gives it a fashionable twist. Unfortunately, this jacket is sold out, but I have linked so many similar items! I have been looking for the perfect pair of black heels and I have finally found them! These heels are from GoJane.com and only $20! This website has quickly become my favorite place to shop for shoes; they are super cheap and reasonably good quality!
