Little Black Dress

Some call it an obsession, I prefer the term great appreciation. Yes, I own a total of 12 variations of black dresses, however that also includes back and white dresses so the true number is around 7 or 8. You have probably seen 50 different quotes about the LBD (little black dress) so at least I chose an obsession (I mean appreciation) that is popular. Black dresses are timeless, elegant, and flattering for all.
Aside from black dresses, I also love anything backless. Talk about a score with this American Apparel dress (similar here). This dress is like a mullet for clothing as it seems like a flattering high neckline front, but surprises the world with both side cut outs and a low back. This simple change in the style was enough to convince me I needed yet another black dress. The material of the dress is velvet which I have seen a lot of so far in 2017. The best part is that while American Apparel can be expensive, I got this at an outlet store on sale with an additional 40% of the sale price.
This ivory necklace from Charmin Charlie’s (similar here) perfectly suits the high neckline of the dress and looks great against the black color. I chose a statement necklace to spice up the simplicity of the front of the dress.
I have put this Kate space purse in previous blogs, so I won’t talk much about it, however today I styled this differently by using the small gold chain instead of the long strap. This takes the purse from an everyday style to something more elegant.
Lastly this nude heels by Life Stride Soft System (similar here) are great for a nice occasion where walking is involved. They are specifically designed for comfort, and a nude heel is always needed in every closet.
