Greek Life
Marissa and I just spent the last month studying abroad, and have tons of pictures to share! Our first stop was Athens Greece. Though we only spent two days there, it was amazing! Our second night in Athens included a group dinner filled with traditional Greek food, live music, and a view of the Acropolis. Naturally, I wanted to wear heels. For the record, I had to climb up a mountain to get to the restaurant, so it was not my most brilliant of ideas. Beauty is pain and I have no regrets.
The light pink halter (similar here) with vertical ribbing was featured earlier this year in my Making my Way Downtown article. Pairing it with jeans instead of a skirt gives it a completely different look. It is summer time, and Greece is hot, so halter tops and crop tops are a great way to stay cool. Also, Brandy Melville is one of my favorite brands. Their simplicity has such a great appeal.
These white jeans are my favorite. I bought them at Aeropostale (available here.) White jeans are a must have for summer. I prefer to wear my jeans and shorts “high rise” which means that they fall slightly above the hip. I think it creates a flattering look and elongates your legs. Additionally, these jeans are cropped which makes them summery. They fray slightly at the end giving them a little bit of texture.
Lastly, my new chunky boot heels are by the brand Parker & Sky. They are available at Ross in stores. The baby pink matches my halter top very well, and the chunky heel makes it a more casual look. For someone who would wear heels anywhere if that were socially acceptable, pairing jeans with heels makes any outfit look at little bit nicer.
