London Boat Cruise

The last night I was in London, the whole UF study abroad went on a boat cruise. There, we got to dance with our professors, enjoy music all night, and see the amazing city from the water. I had to wake up at 4:00 am the following morning to take the train to Paris, but for a few hours almost 100 students and professors got to be together and cry because we were soon going back the states and back to reality.

I wore this flowy light blue dress from Forever 21 (similar here.) It was a bit chilly on the boat at night, but naturally I chose fashion over function, and I am not complaining. This dress is so simple, yet so different from many of the styles. I was able to get a good tan in Greece, so the color really compliments my skin tone. Of course I also adore anything backless, so this unique design was a selling point for me. The soft pleating of the dress creates a beautiful contrast since the dress itself is not very shapely.

For my shoes and jewelry I wore the leather sandals and yad necklace from my previous blog Shopping Abroad. I prefer simple jewelry for the most part, especially when the dress is simple as well. I chose flat shoes over heels for this particular event because high heels on the water is not exactly the best choice. However, wedges or stilettos are also great options for this look.

This boat cruise was incredible not only because of the amazing sights I saw, but the people I got to experience it with.
