Clueless Inspiration
Cher Horowitz's yellow plaid skirt from Clueless will go down in history. And now I have found a way to bring this timeless piece into the 21st century.
This adorable Topshop skirt (similar here and on sale here) is so fun and comfortable. The pink, black, and white plaid is very girly and chic. You can dress it up with a nice button down shirt, like the one I am wearing from Express, or you can pair it with a fun tank top for a more casual look.
Statement necklaces can make an outfit pop by wearing contrasting colors; however, because I wanted the focus of my outfit to be on my skirt, I decided to wear this black Kate Spade necklace (similar here and here). The black necklace blends in with my black shirt, but the beautiful details of the necklace are still able to make a small pop of its own.
I played off of the intricate gold details in my necklace by wearing gold jewelry to accentuate it. This gorgeous Michelle watch (similar here and here) and Kate Spade bracelet (similar on sale here) are classy enough to make any outfit look amazing. The bracelet can be paired with matching Kate Spade bow earrings that complement each other beautifully.
These Tory Burch sandals are my go to shoes. They are so light and comfortable, you do not even feel like you are wearing any shoes at all! They go with almost any outfit, and can be worn casually, or with a nicer outfit. If you don't want to spend a lot of money on these Tory Burch shoes, Jack Rogers has a pair of jelly sandals that are almost identical to these ones!
Just as I did with my necklace, I decided to tone down my purse so I could keep the focus of my outfit on my skirt. This Kate Spade purse is the perfect choice for this outfit. The small size actually has more room than you would think to carry everything you need.
