Let's go to the Beach

The beach is my backyard, so while I have avoided posting a bikini blog, I think it is also important to show my style in everyday life (which includes going to the beach during the summer). Women everywhere struggle with feeling comfortable and confident at the beach, and it is something that fashion trends influence. So before I begin, I want to talk about getting a bikini body. Step 1) put on a bikini. There is no step 2. Every woman can and should feel absolutely beautiful at the beach. Now that we have that settled, on to fashion!

This adorable blue diamond cover up comes from Macy's similar style here.

I really like that is is sheer but not totally transparent. It is so light weight, and the material is nice because if it gets wet it dries quickly. This is perfect for the beach or a resort. It has an adjustable tassel that hangs in the front.

In other accessory news I wore my white and gold wide rimmed glasses from a local store called The Flop Shop (website not available). I am a huge fan of large sunglasses and have always been inspired by Audrey Hepburn's ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s. However her's were hand made in Italy and mine were not. I also brought one of my many Vera Bradley Towels, that come in an array of colors.

My bathing suit comes from the PINK line of Victoria Secret. this is one of my favorite suits because it is such a fun design. While it isn't perfect for tanning, it does stand out. The suit is also available in black. I couldn't find it on the website, but I bought this suit less than a month ago so it should be available in stores.

Featuring my shoulder freckles, the swim top has a neat razor back look, which I found has become very popular this season. This is great because it can easily be worn under a tank top without being seen.

These red bottoms have white chevron designs to them to make them stand out. I really like the cut of them because they have thick sides and are full coverage in the back unlike many popular bathing suit bottoms today.
