Not So Tacky Tourist

I just spent the weekend in the Keys and totally got into looking tropical. In an attempt not to look like I was dressing up for school spirit week, I brought my tropical clothes, but I made sure that my fashion sense was not compromised.
This leaf patterned, off the shoulder crop top from Pac Sun (similar here at forever 21)
is perfect to bring out the vacation feel without looking like a dad on a cruise ship. Both the top and bottom of this piece scrunch which allows it to fit to cling to the body and flatter your curves.
This Jean Brandy Mellville skirt was a statement of the weekend. Jean skirts are in, but I promise I was on to the trend before everyone else. This skirt is not available on the Brandy website, but they do have a similar style in black.
I love that this skirt has a high waist and that it is a light color. I think that the color definitely stands out among other jean items. The buttons going down the front seen in other pictures say California on each of them.
I think that I am slightly obsessed with my Chuck Taylor converse. Please forgive me (I'm not even sorry). They are really great for vacation because they are stylish but great for walking.
This Vera Bradly clutch (pictured with one of my other tropical outfits) was much easier to carry around the island than a large purse. I could bring the necessities and leave the rest at home.
