Polka Dots and Floral
How many patterns can I mix together? I managed to mix floral with subtle polka dots and a classic checkered pattern.
This white top from Ann Taylor Loft (similar style here) so subtly has a floral accent below the scoop neckline. As you may have noticed in my other blogs, I love outfits with subtleties that take any basic to the next level. The cut of the blouse has a baseball tee feel but looks much more pulled together.
Similar to the top, my skirt (with pockets!) from Forever 21 (similar here) shows off some subtly. The navy color is a fall favorite, and the polka dots create a texture on the skirt. I love the length and fit because it is shorter but not too tight.
How can two totally different patterns blend? The colors of both the Burberry purse (similar here) and floral flats (similar here) compliment each other. I wanted to match the floral with my blouse and the purse to my skirt. Since both are accessories, the clashing themes are much less distracting and find a cohesive blend within the other components of the outfit.
