Sightseeing in Athens
Athens is such a beautiful and historic city! Sightseeing in Athens, Greece is an amazing experience because of the significance of this location in both Greek history and world history. On our first real day in Greece, we had a bus tour around the city, and then toured the Acropolis! The Acropolis hill consists of many different historic and famous ruins. Seeing these sights in real life is unreal - none of the pictures do it justice. After learning about the Acropolis ruins in school for years, it was really awesome to see them up close.
Because of the intense heat in Greece, I wore this really lightweight Lush romper from Nordstrom (similar here). This romper has a thin layer underneath, so you don't have to worry about anything showing through! I love the frilly hem on the shorts, it adds a fun aspect to this outfit. I also wear this romper with a blue necklace during football season; it is the perfect Gator color!
This is the same hat I brought with me last summer in Israel! It is so perfect for a full day of sightseeing. My face was protected from the sun all day, and it covered my hair when I started sweating from the heat. I'd suggest a big floppy hat to anyone! I bought this one from Nordstrom forever ago, but you can find some similar ones here and here.
I had to pack lightly, so I only brought this black purse with me! Just as I mentioned in my previous post, this Rebecca Minkoff Regan satchel is perfect for touring! It fits everything, and has multiple zippers and pockets to keep all of your items safe from pickpockets! I was able to tie my black purse and black Tory Burch Miller Sandals in to my light colored outfit, by the black strap around my hat. Small details in your outfit can help tie your accessories together. Don't be scared to mix blacks and browns, just make sure there is something that links them together!
