A Royal Adventure
In honor of the recent royal engagement, here is a post from London from the first time we visited Buckingham Palace. On this day, it was overcast but did not rain. We actually lucked out with the weather for most of the trip. While my friend Gabby looks bundled up, it wasn't too cold. Just after this photo was taken, we hopped back on tour bus, which was then hit by another bus. In the mean time, we got to stop for a second to get a glimpse at the life of royalty.
The side mirror of the tour bus was swiped off, so we did a make shift walking tour to Big Ben until a new bus arrived. I wore this long sleeved black and white blouse from Aeropostale (similar here.) The material feels very silky, and it has a zig-zag cut at the bottom to give it some texture. The print is actually a bow style, but I like that from far away it is less clear. My light pink skirt from forever 21 (similar here) was perfect for this day as it is a thicker skirt. I wore this skirt a good amount in Europe because it is simple and goes with many different blouses.
We got to take a look at the famous Westminster Abbey. The architecture in London was absolutely breathtaking. From my walk to class, to the famous monuments, I fell in love with everything that I saw. It was amazing to see structures with so much history. Our tour guide was the funniest older woman who kept us equally entertained as educated.
I wore my thigh high fishnet socks with 2 buttons, and Marissa's black Charles David pointed toe boots. While the boots are normally fairly expensive, Marissa was able to get them on sale for about $30 at the Bloomingdale's outlet (similar here.) I love that the boots and socks blend with each other because it makes my legs look like they don't end. These boots do have heels though, so I was not thrilled when we ended up having to walk half of the tour due to the bus incident.
After, we hopped on our new bus and continued the sight seeing tour around London.
