Velvet & Lace

This is my last semester here in Gainesville, so I am trying to visit all of the cute areas that this town has to offer! I really enjoy this great downtown area which has amazing restaurants and adorable side streets to explore.

It's finally feeling somewhat like winter here in Florida, so I am so excited to break out my leather jackets! I wore this jacket while I was in Paris, which you can see in this post here. I bought this jacket last winter from Zara, but I found some similar options here and here. This jacket is great because it adds a pop of color to any outfit!

One thing I have been trying to add to my closet are items with texture, and this outfit is full of texture! I have my embroidered jeans, fringe purse and velvet tank top! I have been loving this velvet trend and I think it is definitely a winter must-have. (Similar tanks here, here, here, here, and here!) This top is perfect for a night out, or to dress up any casual outfit. I also wore my Rebecca Minkoff 5 Zip Crossbody Bag (similar here and here). I bought this bag on sale from Nordstrom Rack a while ago, but it is the perfect bag for everyday use!

The embroidered jeans trend is one that I hopped on right away! I love the idea of adding a different texture to your everyday jeans. I bought these jeans from Topshop while I was in London over the summer (similar here). These are perfect for class, going out at night, or just making a plain outfit a little more fun!

I kept my shoes simple, because I have a lot of going on with the rest of my outfit. I wore my favorite block heeled strappy sandals from gojane.com (similar shoes here, here, and here). This website is awesome for inexpensive, on-trend shoes!
