Mamma Mia, Here We Go Again
One of the best parts about staying in London is having access to the wonderful theaters they have available! Just like Broadway in New York City, London has the West End. This cultural section of the city showcases amazing shows, and some of these are also being performed in New York as well!
As a group, we were given the opportunity to see the show Mamma Mia! This was a great experience because we had just left Greece, and we even had a Mamma Mia! movie night while in Santorini! Some friends of ours have never seen a live show performed, so this was a great way to get them acclimated to the theater life. Before attending the show, we stopped in Covent Garden for dinner at a delicious restaurant called Tutton's. We also stopped at Primrose Bakery, which was right across the street from the theater, for a quick treat!
It was a night performance when we saw Mamma Mia!; therefore, we all decided to have fun and get dressed up. I wore this jumpsuit I bought from Nordstrom almost 4 years ago; however, I found some similar options here, here, here, and here. I love wearing jumpsuits, because not only do they look dressy, but you don’t have worry about trying to match your outfit. They are the perfect option to just throw on and leave your house! The jumpsuit I am wearing is a soft and satiny navy material with black lace on top. I love this aspect because it gives me the opportunity to wear black and blue without clashing. To protect myself from the chilly London weather, I threw on my new favorite trench coat from The Kooples! You may remember it from my post: Day 1 in London. To finish off the outfit I added my simple black strappy heels from GoJane.com (similar here). These shoes are awesome to dress up any outfit. I throw them on with jeans and a nice blouse, or a cute dress! They are very versatile.
The second West End theater show we saw was Book of Mormon! To save money we decided to see the matinee performance, which really is not any different from the evening show. We quickly became addicted to the catchy tunes and funny lines we heard in Book of Mormon! After the show, we had the opportunity to meet some of the cast members (pictures above)! Because it was a day performance, we dressed more casual. I wore my favorite army green skater skirt from Forever 21 with a black and white striped tank top from H&M (similar here). It was a little warmer in London, so I could throw on my Tory Burch Miller Sandals. I was so excited to wear my brand new Leather Effect Frilled Jacket from Zara! I love the frilly hem, and the ¾ length sleeves! This jacket is perfect for the Florida “winter”!
