Trafalgar Square & Thames River Boat Cruise
Our entire University of Florida Study Abroad group had the opportunity to take a Thames River Boat Cruise during sunset on our last official day in London. The boat cruise was such a great way to end the trip and say goodbye to all of our new friends. You may remember Julia's London Boat Cruise post about the same evening. During the day, Maria Marren and I decided to make sure we visited all of the famous London locations that we had yet to see.
The cutest restaurant on the Kings Road: Chelsea Gardens
Manresa Road: the street our dorm was located on
We began our day with a walk around the adorable neighborhood our dorm was located in - Kensington. We passed through Chelsea and South Kensington, which I would recommend to anyone planning to stay in London. The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is definitely one of the nicest areas of the city to live or stay in while on vacation.
Maria and I then took the tube to the West End where we wandered around the adorable streets of Shaftesbury Avenue where you can see them setting up for a street fair!
Maria and I wandered around the West End until we found Neal's Yard. It took some searching, and asking a lot of locals, but it was definitely worth it! This little alley way is a colorful escape from the streets of London! You cannot tell from the pictures, but this little area is only about .04 miles long and it is literally an alley off of Convent Garden. There are a couple of adorable shops and restaurants in Neal's Yard, and some great buildings to take pictures at!
Maria and I then headed across the street to Covent Garden
Just a short distance from Covent Garden is Trafalgar Square. This short walk is definitely worth it. This famous square is surrounded by many famous buildings and monuments including the National Gallery, Nelson's Column, Whitehall, Strand, and the Admiralty Arch at the head of the mall which leads to Buckingham Palace.
I have heard the National Gallery is a beautiful museum; unfortunately, we did not have enough time to fully look around, so I am saving it for my next trip to London! The weather began to warm up in London, so I was able to wear this dress from Nordstrom (similar here, here, here, here, and here). I love the choker neck details, as well as the long sleeves. These details allow you to wear this dress for many different occasions: you can dress it up or wear it casually. I am also wearing my Tory Burch Cat-Eye Sunglasses (similar here), my Tory Burch Miller Sandals, and my Rebecca Minkoff Regan Satchel Tote. These accessories are perfect for traveling because you can mix & match them with any outfit. They are also very lightweight and easy to pack!
This boat is also a restaurant!

This boat cruise was the perfect way to say goodbye to London. Seeing all of these beautiful locations from the water during the sunset just emphasized how magical this city truly is.
